A must for organizations or individuals who will be seeking approved provider status in 2010.

The Approved Provider Workshop will familiarize primary nurse planners and/or provider unit directors with the process associated with interpreting and applying the latest (2009) American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation (ANCC COA) and TNA criteria to their organizations in an effort to become an approved provider of continuing nursing education or renew their current status. The workshop will introduce participants to the revised provider application tool, the revised activity application tool, and the approval process. This activity is designed for those who have experience in the CNE process.
 
Organizations ineligible to become an approved provider unit are the following:
   1 - Commercial Interest is any entity either producing, marketing, re-selling, or distributing healthcare goods or services consumed by, or used on, patients or that is owned or controlled by an entity that produces, markets, re-sells, or distributes healthcare goods or services consumed by, or used on, patients.
 
   2 - Multi-Regional Provider is an organization that targeted/marketed greater than 50% of their educational activities provided in the previous calendar year to registered nurses in multiple regions based on the US Department of Health and Human Service (DHHS) Regions.  Activities offered over the internet would be considered to be targeted/marketed in multiple regions.
 
These two (2) organization types must apply for accreditation to the national accrediting body - ANCC.
 
7.0 Contact Hours will be awarded to participants who successfully complete the activity.  Successful completion includes signing-in, attending the entire activity, and submitting a “Contact Hour Request Form” and activity evaluation at the conclusion of the activity.

Registration for the workshop is $275.00 per person for TNA members and $350.00 for non-members.  Lunch and the workshop manual are included.  As seating is limited, early registration is encouraged.   Use this form to register by fax or mail.
