The purpose of this education activity is to enhance the knowledge of the Home Health Registered Nurse in the area of care for the diabetic client by addressing common mistakes made by the RN, new treatment options, understanding the new CMS Final Rule 1611-F and the current Local Coverage Determination in an effort to provide better care for the home health patient with diabetes as evidenced by stable blood sugar readings, shorter durations of home health care needed, increased appropriate acceptance of the diabetic client onto HH Services.
