One innovative way to encourage advance care planning is game interventions such as My Gift of Grace. Through a grant from the Texas Nurses Foundation, districts can host a game using the My Gift of Grace Event Kit. A series of research studies led by Lauren Van Scoy, MD are evaluating the efficacy of My Gift of Grace in various clinical and community engagement settings The purpose of this webinar is for nurses to learn the evidence behind conversation games in stimulating discussions and promoting advance care planning.
Dr. Van Scoy is a pulmonary and critical care physician at Penn State Milton S. Hershey Medical Center in Hershey Pennsylvania with expertise in end-of-life care, communication, and advance care planning.
