The Texas Board of Nursing (BON) has withdrawn proposed rules to rewrite its Rule 221, which governs non-prescription aspects of APRN practice. The proposed rules sought to adjust certain terminology and other details to comport with the national Consensus Model for APRN Regulation.

TNA shared its comments at a July 3 BON public hearing and, while supportive of the overall effort, had concerns about some of the details. Thanks to TNA members and our APRN Taskforce for participating in the comment process. We look forward to working with BON to produce results that all parties can be pleased with.
