Texas Nurses Foundation

Promoting the Health and Well Being of Texans

Texas Nurses Foundation is the charitable, professional, and scholarly arm of the Texas Nurses Association. Proceeds from charitable gifts are administered by TNF to support activities that promote health care by enhancing the art and science of nursing.

Texas Peer Assistance Program for Nurses (TPAPN)

TPAPN offers the opportunity for RNs and LVNs to find their way through the challenges of substance abuse and/or mental illness and return to practice safely.

Grants Available for Nurses

The Nursing Policy Dissertation Research Grant Program supports research specifically on policy initiatives backed by TNA. Executive Director Cindy Zolnierek has pledged $10,000 over the next five years.

Supported Research

TNF also supports external research activities such as the Texas Center for Nursing Workforce Studies (CNWS), which has provided the first concrete, statistical picture of nursing in Texas and does so on an ongoing basis.

Texas Team

The Texas Team is our state's action coalition, cosponsored by TNA and Blue Cross Blue Shield of Texas. The Texas Team believes that all Texans deserve better care, better health and lower health costs.

American Nurses Foundation Advocacy Scholarship

The Texas Nurses Foundation has been granted two $1,000 scholarships through the American Nurses Foundation Advocacy Scholarship Program. Scholarship is available to both TNA members and non-members. DEADLINE: 9/28
