The Texas Nurses Foundation is the charitable, professional and scholarly arm of the Texas Nurses Association. Proceeds from charitable gifts are administered by TNF to support activities that promote health care by enhancing the art and science of nursing.

TNF funds a variety of activities including grants for nurses, Texas Team, nursing-related research and, the largest TNF program, the Texas Peer Assistance Program for Nurses. TPAPN offers the opportunity for RNs and LVNs to find their way through the challenges of substance abuse and/or mental illness.

American Nurses Foundation Scholarship
In Fall 2018, the Texas Nurses Foundation awarded two $1,000 academic scholarships made possible through the American Nurses Foundation Advocacy Scholarship Program (by the generosity of Fresenius Kabi) . This scholarship recognizes nurses’ exemplary advocacy efforts, whether at the bedside speaking up for a patient, in the community working to create a healthier environment, or at the state level speaking to policy makers about the legislation.
