Evidence shows that patients have positive outcomes when staffing levels are sufficient to meet patient needs.  Short staffing is associated with an increased incidence of adverse events and healthcare acquired conditions.  Healthcare is behind other industries in the use of business intelligence, data mining, and forecasting.  This presentation will given an overview of predictive analytics:  what it is, how it works, and the benefits of using tools like this to identify staffing patterns and plan resources accordingly. 

 

Learning Outcome:

To receive credit for this continuing nursing education activity, the participant must:

       Register for the webinar;

       Attend the entire webinar;

       Complete and submit the activity evaluation survey

       Once successful completion is achieved “Certificate of Successful Completion” will be e-mailed to participants 7 days post the activity

Participants successfully completing this activity will be awarded 1.0 contact hours.

Texas Nurses Association/Foundation Provider Unit is accredited as a provider of continuing nursing education by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation.

The activity’s Nurse Planner has determined that no one who has the ability to control the content of this CNE activity – planning committee members and presenters/authors/content reviewers – has a conflict of interest.

The cost is $15 for members and $30 for nonmembers.
