Texas Nurses Association's 2026 Election: Proposed Ballot

The TNA Leadership Succession Committee has reviewed applications for candidates for the 2026 ballot and prepared the proposed ballot. In accordance with TNA Bylaws and Policies Regarding Nominations and Elections for TNA Offices, members have until December 31, 2025, to notify the committee if they would like to challenge the proposed slate of candidates. Nomination and election policies and position descriptions can be found below. In accordance with TNA Bylaws and Policies Regarding Nominations and Elections for TNA Offices, members have until December 31, 2025, to notify the committee if they would like to challenge the proposed slate of candidates. The ballot will open for voting at 8 a.m., February 4, 2026, and will close at midnight, February 19, 2026.  TNA members as of December 31, 2025, will be eligible to vote in the 2026 election.

State-Level Committee Opportunities

The TNA Board of Directors makes appointments to committees and councils following their annual strategic planning. Periodically the Board fills vacancies or appoints just-in-time committees or task forces based on emerging issues. Please review the committee information provided here and complete the short interest form indicating your interest.

 


TNA Surveys

The Bylaws Committee has submitted proposed amendments to the TNA Bylaws. We are requesting member comments for the Board's review prior to approving the final amendment language for the 2026 Ballot. Please review the proposed bylaws amendments, which update board membership to enhance representation and include revisions requested or suggested by ANA to remain congruent with ANA bylaws. If you have any questions or concerns, please email them to tna@texasnurses.org or call TNA at 512/452-0645 X 136 prior to December 31, 2025.
 
The timeframe to comment on the proposed amendment is December 2, 2025 to December 31, 2025.
