Help shape what TNA can become for nursing students across Texas.
The Texas Nurses Association (TNA) is seeking prelicensure nursing students to participate in the inaugural Prelicensure Student Engagement Committee Pilot from November 2026 through May 2027.
This is more than an opportunity to attend committee meetings. Selected students will work alongside TNA staff and volunteer leaders to explore the current student experience, share perspectives from nursing students across Texas, identify opportunities for improvement, and help develop recommendations for the future of student engagement at TNA. Along the way, committee members will have opportunities to build professional connections, strengthen communication and collaboration skills, learn more about professional nursing organizations, and contribute to work that may influence future TNA student programming.
No previous TNA involvement or leadership experience is required. We are looking for students who are curious, thoughtful, willing to contribute, open to learning, and interested in making the student experience better for others. Selected students will gain meaningful committee experience, contribute to real organizational improvement work, and leave with accomplishments they can highlight on their résumé and professional portfolio.
