For 31 years, Texas Nurses Association, District 9 has organized a Nursing Celebration, an elegant evening Gala event with the mission to recognize outstanding nurses, present scholarships to nursing students, and award grants in nursing research. These nurses and nursing students live and/or work in District 9, including Brazoria, Chambers, Fort Bend, Galveston, Harris, Liberty, Montgomery, San Jacinto, Trinity, Walker, and Waller counties. District 9 (Greater Houston area) is the largest in Texas and boasts nearly 4,400 members. This year we are delighted to include an inaugural award, the Mike Calvert Noble Nurse of the Year Award.

This event benefits Texas Nurses District 9 Foundation ensuring the future of healthcare and the highest level of performance from those in the nursing profession by fulfilling the following purpose: providing scholarships to nursing students and awarding grants to registered nurses in District 9. On Friday, November 10, 2023, the room will be filled with Sponsors, Honorees, Scholarship and Grant Awardees, and Supporters. The reception and silent auction begin at 6:00 p.m., with dinner and award ceremony at 7:00 p.m.
