Implicit bias is innate to all humans, and nurses are not an exception. As part of the most trusted profession, nurses must be aware of any bias that would prevent trust from occurring in interactions between patients and nurses. Recognizing implicit bias requires self-awareness and empathy towards others to provide the best possible patient care, and nurses need to add this awareness to their skillset.

Consistent with recommendations to limit public gatherings to avoid spread of the Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19), the Nurse Talks Empowerment Series will be accessible for individual nurses to login directly rather than attend a facilitated session. Please share this link with colleagues so they can register.

The Nurse Talks Empowerment Series is designed to bring diverse groups of nurses together to engage in thoughtful conversation about important topics. Nurse Talks sessions are live webinars viewed with other nurses.  After the short presentation and Q&A session, attendees will have a brief discussion with other nurses in attendance in a breakout room.
