Join the Texas Nurses Foundation (TNF) for an engaging educational program exploring the connection between nursing, civic engagement, and local political advocacy.

Nurses experience firsthand how public policy and community-level decisions can influence patient care, the healthcare workforce, access to services, and the environments in which nurses practice. This presentation will examine why participation in the civic process matters for nurses and how voting, understanding local government, and engaging with policymakers can help ensure that the nursing perspective is represented in conversations that affect healthcare and the communities nurses serve.

Participants will gain greater insight into how decisions made at the local level can affect nursing practice and will explore practical ways nurses can become more informed and engaged advocates in their communities.
