The Healthier Texas Summit, presented by Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Texas, will include everything from TEDx-style lightning rounds to deep-dive conversations into some of the most pressing issues in community health. Hosted by IT’S TIME TEXAS and The University of Texas System, it's the only event in Texas that brings health professionals and champions from all sectors together in one place.
Topics at the Summit will range from cross-sector approaches to improving community and population health, to innovations in healthcare delivery models, to advancing health equity through policy and systemic change, to effective health communication and practical methods for sharing and using health data.
Be the nurse at the table
Whenever we talk about health in Texas, nurses need to be there! In order to improve the health of our great state, it is critical for dedicated health professionals and champions to meet in person to learn from each other, build relationships, and develop actionable goals with our shared vision in mind.
That's why the Texas Team Action Coalition is providing $500 stipends to support nursing student and faculty attendance at the Healthier Texas Summit.
Twenty faculty and 20 student stipends are available; no more than two faculty or two student stipends will be awarded to individuals from the same school of nursing. The deadline to apply is September 20.
If you don't qualify for the stipend, we still hope to see you there in October! Registration is open until Sept. 30!
