Get Involved!

While pre-licensed students cannot yet join TNA, the Texas Nursing Student's Association is a great way to build leadership skills before joining the profession. TNSA representative Britney Cummings sits on TNA's Governmental Affairs Committee. Learn more about Britney in the October 2018 issue of NurseWatch

Pre-licensed students can also become Student Subscribers with American Nurses Association and get access to career resources.

Educational Loan

Exclusively for members of Texas Nurses Association!

Educational loan funds of $500 to $2,000 per year are available exclusively for TNA members. TNA's A. Louise Dietrich Nursing Education Loan Fund is available to a member who is a student or accepted for admission for part-time or full-time study in a Texas public or not-for-profit college or university nursing program, that offers a BSN, masters or doctoral degree.

Dietrich, for whom the fund was named, was one of the founding members of TNA in 1907, and served as the association's first executive director.
