2020 TNA Ballot

Texas Nurses Association/American Nurses Association members are eligible to run for all elected TNA offices if they meet the criteria for candidate consideration and are able to meet the responsibilities and time commitments outlined for each elected position. Criteria and position descriptions can be found below. 

Application for the 2020 ballot are now closed.


Patricia Francis Johnson, DNP, RN, Chair of the TNA Leadership Succession Committee has announced the proposed slate of candidates for the 2020 Ballot.

In accordance with TNA Bylaws and Policies Regarding Nominations and Elections for TNA Offices, members have until Jan. 18, 2020, to notify the committee if they would like to challenge the proposed slate of candidates.  Members may review the policies, position descriptions and other information regarding the nominations and elections on the TNA website. Challenges should be sent to:

The following 2 positions will be filled by a general election of all TNA members that will be sent electronically on Jan. 20 and ending on Feb. 7, 2020.
