During TNA's Nurse Day at the Capitol, nurses from diverse backgrounds unite to advocate for policies that enhance the nursing profession. The event provides a platform for nurses to delve into nursing-related matters, pinpoint avenues for impacting healthcare policy, and craft personalized advocacy messages. We are excited to continue with this biennial event and can’t wait for hundreds of nurses to come together to amplify their voices! The Continuing Nursing Education (CNE) segment of the event offers insights into the current public health landscape in Texas, the nurse's role in shaping health policy, the nursing legislative agenda, and features a legislative panel. Following this, nurses engage in a series of meetings with individual legislators at the Texas Capitol, where they educate lawmakers on nursing issues and push for necessary policy reforms.
